In 1992, seven groups of 4 foot wide steel towers were welded to the deck of the barge. She was then sunk to from an artificial reef. During the descent, the barge flipped and landed upside-down on top of the tower section in 82 feet of water. The wreckage is about 140 feet long and rises 15 feet from the bottom.
Located ten miles south of Pensacola Pass, this site lies within artificial reef site #15. Grouper live among the sheltered network of steel along with a variety of marine life including snapper, flounder, and amberjack.
