This area contains over a dozen reefs including Red Rock Reef and Y-Ledge. The most popular portion of this area is the Gator Bowl Press Boxes. The original Gator Bowl stadium was torn down to build a new stadium for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Debris from the old stadium was sunk as an artificial reef and the huge press boxes have become a hit with sport divers. The enormous boxes are filled with fish and are a popular night dive because they house large numbers of nocturnal sea life. The GPS coordinates given are for the press boxes.
Spadefish, amberjacks, and other game fish inhabit the soft coral and ledges that make up this location. Depths range from 75 to 85 feet and average visibility is between 30 and 40 feet.
