The 'Big O' is unlike any other.
This dive will leave you somewhat speechless. Yet, at the same time, you won't be able to shut-up when you reach the surface! Do some research on the ship to understand the history of the vessel before you dive. Nitrox is a must!

Incredible Panorama
The 1st 20-30ft was like soup due to plankton. But, the seas were calm and the sun was out and just as you passed out of the current, the O POPPED into sight just like stepping out of a dark overgrown forest and into a sunny meadow! The enormity is hard to put into words. Will take many more dives to ever see it all. Few photos out on http://www.flickr.com/diverjoe look for Pensacola.
Also, got to say that the guys at Scuba Shack and the Wet Dream were incredible hosts. VERY friendly and helpful. They help me and my group out with everything needed. They fixed hot dogs on the grill between dives and then we were treated to HOME-MADE ICE CREAM on the way home!!!! YES! HOME-MADE ICE CREAM. If that isn't service, I don't know what is. Been diving 9yrs and this is the first ice cream I EVER got! Thanks! Gene and crew!!!!!

This is a great dive, but WATCH YOUR DEPTH.
This is by far the best dive I have found. The surface current down to about 30' can be a little tricky, so plan accordingly if you do deco dives. With the bottom @ 212' depth can easily become an issue. Also be sure to pack a good dive light.

Crawling with sea life
Dove this 31 July 07 - spectacular dive. There's an amazing amount of activity on the wreck given the short timespan it's been down. I recommend the H20Below & crew - they were top-notch, and know the wreck in & out. Too much to see in one 2-tank dive. I plan on returning annually and will enjoy watching the sealife increase each time. I strongly recommend the Mighty "O".

Great Dive!
I am in the Navy and I reenlisted on the Mighty "O" on July 6th, 2007. It was an excellent experience, great dive and an honor to be there. Lots of history, do some research before you go so you know about her but get there. It would be a shame to visit Pensacola and not go!

You just can't dive it once and say you did it.
I dove the Mighty O July 2006 on the "H2O Below". Great boat and crew. Saftey was key and the dive was great. My goal for my first dive was to touch the flight deck. After that there are several rooms on the way up to explore. I imagined the crew walking the stairways and hallways that I was drifting through. Vis close to 100' and water temp was upper 70's. It's far to large to really explore in just one visit. I'm looking forward to diving Her again in 2007 and seeing the new growth.

Great dive will be interesting to see the devolpment of this wreck
A great dive. One of the most interesting wrecks, when all is considered, that i have ever done. Not too hard but can get into trouble with depth very quickly

Go dive The Mighty O
The dive was excellant vis was about 60-70 ft. In my opinion the best shop to go through is Dive Pros which charters with Bluewater Adventures Capt Dave and the Divemaster Eric were exceptional. The boat is only a 6 pack with a min of 4 to go where all others want at least 8.Check out their sites as well oriskanydivemaster.com and bluwateradventures.com
