Popular dive spot. Lots of fish. Barracudas, Goliath Grouper
Nice easy dive. No current at the surface, but a slight current at depth. First thing we saw was the Goliath Grouper in the pilot house, HUGE fish. Also saw a large Manta Ray with several AJ's following. Get there early before all the dive boats show up. Popular spot close to the pass. Vis was about 20-30 feet.

Great relaxing dive spot.
Great dive spot. Vis was 35-40m ft. Lots of snapper, grouper, flounder and a 300 pound warsaw grouper. Highly recommend this dive.

Best dive yet!!
This was our first night dive. I was a little apprehensive about a night dive at first, but once we got in the water I quickly forgot about my jitters and enjoyed every minute of it. The skeleton was a nice touch. I had heard about but didnt expect it to still be there.
We can't wait to do it again.

Fun with a little twisted humor
This is the classic spot all the dive charters want to take you to the first time out. Not unusual to see several different boats all anchored here at the same time. The boat is in good shape with areas to penetrate like the holds in the rear deck. First time I dove the wreck the skeleton was not in the wheelhouse which was a nice touch by someone here lately. Say hello to the 6' Barricuda our boat captain lovingly refers to as Fluffy. He likes to hang out under the dive boat and gave everyone a good chance to see a curious cruiser up close without fear of being ripped in half.

Great dive that I could dive over and over again!
Dove the Black Bart on June 12, 2007 and loved every second of it. Vis was about 15-20 feet with plenty of things to see, ranging from angel fish, to urchins, to the skeleton in the wheelhouse. The wheelhouse and cargo holds can be penetrated while still maintaining good visibility. Overall a great dive!

The Bart is still popular...
I dove "The Bart" on Saturday, Sept. 2nd. It looked the same as it did when I dove it for the first time last October. Plenty of fish, structure is still intact and yes, the skeleton is still in the wheelhouse...along with a 6ft. barracuda. Viz was 30-40ft, but we were the only boat on the wreck at the time.

Very Popular Dive and Still Pretty good condition
This site is extremely popular and chances are you'll dive it multiple times if you are on an extended stay in Panama City. I just recently dove it again (twice) in June of 2006. The Skeleton is still there. This is a great night dive and it was completly covered with large fireworms on my last dive.

Visibility can get murky pretty quick, especially with a large group diving and there are often currents at the wheelhouse.

By far the most popular in PCB
If you go on any charter out of Panama City, you are likely to go to the Black Bart. It's a good site for around here with lots of fish around. Good photography here, better spearfishing than anything really.
